Ronald Laird Obituary, Death – Law enforcement officials have confirmed the identity of the bicyclist who lost his life in a collision on Tuesday evening. According to authorities, 54-year-old Ronald Laird from Nashville failed to stop at a stop sign on Robin Hill Road, subsequently colliding with the passenger side of a Kia Optima that was traveling east on Jocelyn Hollow Road.
After the incident, Laird, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police reported that Laird was the final individual among four cyclists who disregarded the stop sign.
The investigation revealed that there is no stop sign present on Jocelyn Hollow Road, and witnesses indicated that the driver was operating the vehicle at the posted speed limit of 25 mph.
