Satvinder Singh Obituary, Death – A California truck driver tragically died early Sunday morning in Montgomery County after his semi overturned on Interstate 74 near Crawfordsville. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene just before 2:30 a.m. on April 6, following reports of an overturned semi. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found that the driver, later identified as 22-year-old Satvinder Singh from Sacramento, California, was ejected from the vehicle and had died on the scene.
The investigation revealed that Singh was driving a 2021 Kenworth semi-truck, hauling a trailer filled with potatoes, when the vehicle unexpectedly veered off the road. The cause of the truck leaving the road remains unknown. The truck overturned as a result of the incident, and Singh was thrown from the vehicle, which led to his fatal injuries.
The semi involved in the crash was owned by King Transline Inc., a trucking company based in Manteca, California. While police were investigating the initial crash, another accident occurred on the eastbound lanes of I-74, which led to the closure of the highway for approximately four hours. Fortunately, the second crash did not result in any injuries.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash. This incident highlights the dangers faced by truck drivers on the road and underscores the importance of road safety and caution when traveling, especially during the early hours of the morning when visibility can be lower.
