Semaj Wilkins Obituary, Death – A high school football player in Alabama tragically passed away on Tuesday afternoon following a medical emergency that occurred during practice drills. The individual has been identified as Semaj Wilkins, a 14-year-old freshman and varsity player at New Brockton High School, as confirmed by Coffee County Coroner Arnold Woodham.
Semaj was transported to Medical Center Enterprise by Enterprise Rescue, where he subsequently died. “While further details will be provided later, I urge the community to keep his family, teammates, coaches, and all those affected by this tragic loss in their prayers,” Woodham stated.
Coffee County Schools Superintendent Kelly Cobb announced that the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney’s office are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death, with the school district fully cooperating with these agencies.
Cobb also mentioned that a crisis response team will be present at the high school to offer support to family members, friends, classmates, teachers, and other staff. “Our hearts are heavy for the family’s loss, and our thoughts are with them during this time of mourning. We kindly request that the family’s privacy be honored during this challenging period.”
