Sidney Powell, Andre K. Preston Obituary, Death – The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified two men who lost their lives in separate shootings over the weekend in the French Quarter and the Lower Ninth Ward on Tuesday morning. Sidney Powell, aged 41, was discovered deceased inside a vehicle on Friday at 9:51 p.m. in the 2200 block of Choctaw Street, as reported by the New Orleans Police Department.
Andre K. Preston, 26, was shot at the intersection of Bourbon and St. Louis streets on Saturday at 3:55 a.m., according to NOPD. He was subsequently taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The grandmother of a man fatally shot in front of a gas station on Chef Menteur Highway on Sunday afternoon informed The Times-Picayune that he was Desean Leggett. The coroner confirmed that Leggett was 23 years old.
Police arrived at the scene in the 10800 block of Chef Menteur Highway at 1:33 p.m., where they found Leggett with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
