Stephen Stevens Obituary, Death – A fatal motorcycle accident occurred in the Town of La Follette, Burnett County, on Friday afternoon. As reported by the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on Highway 70 near Fosmo Drive at approximately 12:20 p.m.
A group of motorcyclists was travelling eastbound on Highway 70 when, according to initial findings, one motorcycle experienced a tyre blowout. The operator was ejected from the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as 64-year-old Stephen Stevens from Webster. The press release further indicated that two other motorcyclists laid down their bikes to prevent further collisions. One passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a medical facility via ambulance.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
