Authorities arrived at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Adelaide Street at approximately 6:11 a.m. after a collision occurred between a Jeep and a Toyota minivan.
The Jeep had flipped over, and the driver, identified as 23-year-old Tonyque Davis from Portland, was found unresponsive. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to police reports.
The driver of the minivan fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency responders, as stated by the police. Following an investigation, a suspect was identified, leading to the arrest of a 44-year-old man from Hartford on Sunday evening.
