Tracy Broyles Obituary, Death – A tragic two-vehicle crash in Perry Township on Monday afternoon claimed the life of a 54-year-old Canton woman and left four others injured. The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Tracy Broyles, who was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Geo Metro when the accident occurred on Route 172 near Perry Drive.
According to authorities, Broyles attempted to make a left turn onto Perry Drive but failed to yield. As a result, her vehicle was struck by a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. Emergency responders rushed her to Aultman Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Four other individuals involved in the crash sustained injuries, though none were considered life-threatening. Among them was a 26-year-old Canton man who was a passenger in Broyles’ vehicle. The Chrysler Pacifica was driven by a 33-year-old woman from Franklin, who was also injured. Additionally, two children who were passengers in the Pacifica were taken to the hospital, but their ages and conditions were not disclosed.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash, though they do not believe alcohol played a role. Multiple emergency response teams from Perry Township, Plain Township, Jackson Township, and Massillon assisted at the scene.
