Troy Ducote Obituary, Death – The Shreveport Police Department has announced that they are conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred overnight in the Werner Park neighborhood of west Shreveport. A news release indicates that Caddo Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $2,000 for any information that leads to the identification and apprehension of the individuals involved in this incident.
According to the Shreveport Police Department (SPD), officers responded to a shooting report in the Werner Park area on August 16, shortly before 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a 35-year-old white male suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office (CPCO) has identified the deceased as 35-year-old Troy Ducote, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:04 p.m.
Investigators from the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene unit have commenced their inquiry, canvassing the area and gathering pertinent evidence. They reported that the victim had been involved in a dispute with several juveniles prior to the shooting.At this time, the SPD has stated that no additional information is available.
