Tyler S. Smith Obituary, Death – A motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a deer early this morning in Lee County. Alabama State Troopers have identified the deceased as Tyler S. Smith, a 28-year-old resident of Phenix City. The incident occurred at 4:37 a.m. on Lee County 254, close to U.S. 280, approximately seven miles east of Opelika.
According to Trooper Lt. Jeremy Burkett, Smith was operating a Harley-Davidson Sportster when he encountered the deer. He was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
