Uniqua Alece Wykia Carter Obituary, Death – The Virginia State Police (VSP) is actively investigating a devastating two-vehicle accident that occurred in Pittsylvania County on Wednesday. The collision occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Route 41, south of Route 1133. As reported by the VSP, a 2009 Hyundai Genesis travelling northbound on Route 41 lost control, veered across the centre line and struck a 2015 Chevrolet Sierra head-on. The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 27-year-old Uniqua Alece Wykia Carter from Chatham, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident and was subsequently pronounced dead at SOVAH Health Danville. An 11-year-old girl, a passenger in the Hyundai, was also taken to the hospital for medical attention. The 32-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet, along with a 2-year-old girl who was properly restrained, was also transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
