Vanessa Perez Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Chicopee earlier this month.
According to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, the incident occurred on Sunday, February 9. Emergency responders were dispatched around 7:40 p.m. to the 1200 block of Abbey Memorial Drive following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. On Friday, officials confirmed the victim’s identity as 34-year-old Vanessa Perez of Springfield.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. Both the Chicopee Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office continue to examine the details of the incident to determine what led to the fatal collision.
