Vernon Johnson Sr Obituary, Death – A fatality occurred in a two-vehicle collision early on Tuesday morning, August 13, as reported by the Louisiana State Police. According to law enforcement officials, the incident took place shortly after 9 a.m. on U.S. 61 in St. Francisville, resulting in the death of 83-year-old Vernon Johnson Sr. from St. Francisville.
The investigation revealed that a Ford pickup truck was travelling southbound on U.S. 61 while Johnson was operating a Toyota Corolla eastbound on Rosemound Loop Road. It was noted that Johnson failed to yield at the stop sign located at the intersection of U.S. 61 and Rosemound Loop Road.
As a result, the Ford truck collided with the driver’s side of Johnson’s vehicle. Tragically, Johnson succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while the driver of the Ford truck remained unharmed.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
