Wilberto Millet Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in West Haven last week as 19-year-old Wilberto Millet from Waterbury, police announced Monday morning.
The West Haven Police Department received a 911 call around 11:40 p.m. on February 19, reporting a vehicle parked on the side of Terrace Avenue near Glad Street. Inside, a man was found slumped over in the back seat with a gunshot wound to the head, according to Sgt. Scott Allard.
Patrol officers arrived at the scene and discovered the unresponsive victim in the back seat. Upon further examination, they confirmed that he had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Millet was pronounced dead at the scene.
In an update, Allard stated that the investigation remains active. While initial reports suggest the shooting may have been accidental or self-inflicted, detectives are continuing their efforts to verify the circumstances.
