William John Erkelens Obituary, Death – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a 79-year-old man who lost his life in a boating accident on Lake Ming as William John Erkelens, a resident of Napa. According to the coroner’s report, the incident occurred on May 19, 2024, at approximately 10:48 a.m.
Following the crash, Erkelens was transported to Kern Medical, where he subsequently passed away. An autopsy was performed, revealing that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was classified as accidental.
