William Rutledge Death News – A tragic rollover crash on Interstate 65 in Hart County claimed the life of a 59-year-old man on Saturday morning. The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reported that troopers responded to a call regarding a single-vehicle crash just before 10 a.m. Upon arrival, they located the accident site near the 54.9-mile marker on I-65.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by William Rutledge of Etoile, had been traveling northbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle overturned, resulting in a fatal crash. Rutledge was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County coroner.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. KSP personnel were assisted at the scene by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, and the Hart County Fire Department.
