Wyatt Reese Obituary, Death – A tragic incident occurred on Saturday, resulting in the death of a teenager in a dirt bike accident. According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the 9100 block of State Route 121 following reports of a single-vehicle dirt bike collision.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered that a Kawasaki 250x dirt bike was travelling northbound in the side ditch adjacent to State Route 121 when it struck a utility pole. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the impact.
Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He has been identified as 14-year-old Wyatt Reese from Bradford.
At the time of the accident, Reese was wearing a helmet.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Coroner’s Office, is conducting an investigation into the incident. Versailles Fire and Rescue provided assistance to deputies at the scene.
